Working Style: Hybrid remote in San Francisco, CA *currently. once a week.

Weekly Schedule: 9:00-17:00
Pay: $22/hour
Job Description
The Assistant of Startup and Innovation Department act as assistant of Executive Director and Project Coordinator of the department who is primarily responsible for supporting Japanese startups expanding their business in Silicon Valley and San Francisco area in cooperation with accelerators, venture capital, consultant, lawyer and any other mentors in Bay Area. Also, supporting the research department and the export projects.
- Supporting the “Global Startup Acceleration Program”. To communicate with the accelerators to conduct the program. Also assisting the process to make contracts with the accelerators.
- Setting up and coordinating one-to-one mentoring service for Japanese startups in cooperation with external contractors including lawyers, venture capitals and any other mentors in Bay Area.

Creating the documents for internal approvals for the budget.

Supporting Executive Director and Project Coordinator organize exhibitions, seminars and pitch events.

Conducting research activity regarding technology and innovation issues in Silicon Valley

Providing market & regulatory information to Japanese companies through one-to-one consulting service with your colleague.

Marketing of the organization's Startups project to maximize it’s presence in the startup communities in Bay Area and Japan

Supporting Executive Director prepare the contract or internal documentation.
- Supporting the Director of research and export department.
Assist the Executive Director and the Accounting Associates to manage the San Francisco branch

Assist the internal procedures of the payment and contract of the San Francisco branch.
- Assist the Executive Director and the Accounting Associates to analyze and develop all goals and long term strategies of the organization and ensure compliance to all revision policies from its' Tokyo HQ and procedures and maintain efficient knowledge on all latest the group’s program and business activities.
- Assist the Executive Director and the Accounting Associates to prepare all required documents and manage efficient operating budgets and monitor all department operating procedures.
Other duties include administrative work relevant to projects above and networking activity with clients, local partner organizations and any other companies and individuals in Silicon Valley Ecosystems.
Required Qualifications include:

Flexibility, curiosity, integrity and strong interpersonal and client service skills

Fluent in Japanese, Excellent reading and writing communication skills in Japanese.

Business level in English

Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Salesforce)
