Performs maintenance and service repairs on Government commercial and marine air conditioning systems. Performs overhauls and installation of replacement parts for existing units according to specifications and established safety guidelines. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent with universal EPA certification. May be required to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training. Requires 5 years experience in the field. Familiar with a variety of the fields concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. May lead and direct the work of others.. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
- Operates basic hand and power tools.
- Uses electrical meters, meggars and measuring devices.
- Develops and uses Technical Documents & Work Packages
- Schedules, reports and briefs customers and management.
- Connects motors, compressors, temperature controls and circulating ventilation fans to control panels and connects to power sources.
- Accurately write condition found reports and service orders detailing results of inspections, tests, noted discrepancies and repair recommendations.
- Provide supervision, leadership and guidance to junior personnel assigned. Ability to work with little supervision when required.
- High School or GED graduate required.
- Universal EPA Certification
- Minimum Five (5) years experience.
- Completion of an apprentice program or military equivalent.
- Valid Drivers License with clean driving record.
- Pass background screening to qualify for TWIC & DBIDS For base access
- Proficient in MS Office Suite programs.
- Requires to pass pre-employment drug screen
