This role will be on-site at the Midway, GA distribution center with travel to Ashley, Indiana and Midlothian, Texas locations. Travel is up to 30%.
As a HR Manager you will operationally and strategically partner with leaders to provide HR guidance and support in the areas of employee relations, performance management, recruiting, onboarding, compensation, and change management. You will support multiple distribution sites, collaboratively partnering with Operations Managers, supervisors, HR Business Partners and HR Centers of Excellence. This role will be on-site at the Midway, GA distribution center with travel to Ashley, Indiana and Midlothian, Texas locations as needed.
Duties:
- Partner with business unit leaders to anticipate each distribution center’s strategic needs and partner with Operations Manager to establish department priorities. Support employee relations, performance management, recruiting, onboarding, compensation and change management at assigned sites.
- Coach and guide leaders on employee relations and conduct investigations. Maintain compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations.
- Partner with the leadership team to develop staffing plans, and co-lead recruiting, interviewing, pre-employment and Day 1 onboarding candidate experience.
- Apply policies and procedures to maintain compliance. Recommend best practices. Provide consistent application and interpretation of programs, policies and procedures throughout the company.
- Work closely with leaders and employees to improve work relationships, build morale and increase productivity and retention. Lead as a company culture agent.
- Promote and communicate HR initiatives to sites and ensure initiatives are being utilized consistently and effectively throughout the organization.
- Collaboratively partner with HR Centers of Excellence.
- Ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Provide stakeholder input into program design. Lead and participate in HR projects.
- Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes and new technologies in Human Resources.
- Perform other duties as it relates to Human Resources, as assigned.
Education and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or similarly related field
Minimum three years of demonstrated Human Resources experience. HR experience at a distribution center strongly preferred.
Strong employee relations experience required.
30% travel. Will support multiple sites in Midway, GA, Ashley, IN and Midlothian, TX
