General Purpose of the Position
The Septic Installer is responsible for installing new septic systems and identifying repair needs for wastewater systems and other plumbing related components used for wastewater disposal. This individual should have proper certifications or be willing to obtain proper certifications that allow the Septic Installer to perform state wastewater system inspections.
Qualifications
· Minimum of 2 years’ experience installing residential septic systems
· Experience operating an excavator to dig trenches for installation of septic tanks, drain lines for new systems, and sewer connections.
· Must be able to read blueprints to determine location of the septic tank and drain field installs
· Strong customer service, listening, interpersonal, and communication skills
Responsibilities
· Perform basic and complex troubleshooting of Septic Systems.
· Able to repair or replace Septic Systems.
· Perform water treatment related service calls appropriate to experience.
· Create Invoices
· Complete required service call documents
· Able to independently perform service and installation estimates
· Properly document service calls by taking pictures.
· Write descriptions of work and recommendations of work.
· Keep stock and good care of service van.
· Complete continuing education courses
· Working to obtain other relevant credentials
· Trains and promotes apprentice and junior level technicians
· Accountable for training and success of assigned apprentices
· Serves as a mentor to junior and mid-/level technicians
· Represent company’s brand per company uniform policy and help enforce this with assigned apprentices
· Proved exceptional customer service that represents the company’s brand
