We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer with strong proficiency in SQL and Tableau to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our data infrastructure. They will work closely with data analysts, data scientists, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless data flow and accessibility. This role requires a deep understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data visualization to support our data-driven decision-making processes.
Mandatory Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 8+ years of proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role
- Strong proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and querying
- Extensive experience with Tableau for data visualization and dashboard creation
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes
- Experience with data integration tools (e.g., Apache Nifi, Talend, Informatica)
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Scala)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their data services
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and collaboration skills

- Master's degree in a relevant field
- Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark)
- Knowledge of data governance and data quality management
- Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra)

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes
- Collaborate with data analysts and data scientists to understand data needs and deliver solutions
- Create and manage data models, data warehouses, and data lakes
- Develop and maintain Tableau dashboards and reports for various business units
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security across the data infrastructure
- Monitor and optimize performance of data systems and queries
- Implement best practices for data management and governance
- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues and provide technical support
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies in data engineering
- Document processes, procedures, and data architectures for future reference and training
