Pay rate starts at $18/hour, goes to $18.50 at 90 days, then $19 at one year.

Our Hampton Inn in Lynnwood is opening a brand new Bistro where you will be cooking and serving guests food from a prepared menu. This Bistro will be a flameless kitchen, so no need to break a sweat in the kitchen. You will also serve/pour guests beer and wine, so you must be 21 years or older to serve.
You are tasked with welcoming and serving our guests. We are looking for someone that loves food and service as much as we do. As a team member in the kitchen, you must be able to follow instructions in cooking and delivering well-prepared meals. You must be deft in moving around the kitchen and apt in multi-tasking. You have your WA state food workers card and your alcohol server training certificate. You hold safety in high regard, protecting against slips and falls, proper food handling and responsible alcohol serving. Responsibilities
- Always be present at bar.
- Clean beer tap, beer tap area, walk-in, and storage areas as assigned.
- Control guest checks issued.
- Set up and maintain stock of food-preparation line.
- Strive to ensure proper food preparation within the kitchen including quality, production and cleanliness.
- Balance bank and daily receipts.
- Oversee production for line operation.
- Organize and transfer food items into containers as needed, label and date for proper use and identification.
- Assist in the proper utilization of excess food product for lowest possible attainable food cost.
- Conduct daily walk through of all walk-in refrigerators, storage rooms, and food lines to ensure proper utilization of product, rotation, cleanliness and proper sanitation.
- Prepare food as required.
- Complete all assigned paperwork accurately and timely.
- Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
- Ensuring that the kitchen and equipment are properly cleaned and maintained.
- Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen
- Keep cooled display case stocked during service hours.
- Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
- Monitor intoxication levels of guests to ensure they are not overserved.
- Check ALL IDs to ensure no minors are served.
- Check quality of ingredients
Expectations
We don't expect you to have experience with cooking or hospitality in general, but we do expect you to:
- Have a drive to learn the menu.
- Ask questions as much as possible, because this is how you learn!
- Be on time to your scheduled shift
- Able to cover shifts for others co-workers if needed
- Has availability to work on weekends and some holidays
- Have a positive attitude
- Bring up concerns you may have to your Food & Beverage Manager
- Speaks respectfully to co-workers, management, guests, and to all
- Communicate effectively
- Overall, be the employee that you would want if you were the employer
