We’re looking for a team player with strong technical, organization, documentation and communication skills to help us make sure our business runs smoothly, and to improve the effectiveness of our team and support efforts.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Work with active customers to troubleshoot issues on networks, servers and VoIP systems.
- Receive requests for service and product details from customers and provide timely responses.
- Work with the dispatch team and engineering team to escalate issues.
- Work with the sales team to provide timely orders and tracking to clients
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of the service offerings of the company.
- Achieve and maintain a positive rapport with clients and work to give them the best possible service.

Who are you?
The ideal candidate will be an IT Engineer with at least 4-5 years of advanced technical experience with networks, servers and VoIP, and strong customer service skills. Windows Server, LAN, VLAN & subnetting, VPN, Firewall, and VoIP experience are preferred.
Technical Skills you will possess to be successful are:
- Strong IP Telephone system implementation and management of on-premise and cloud based systems (Cloud VoIP, Allworx, Mitel, ShoreTel, Cisco would all be good experience.)
- You would understand QoS and DSCP markings as well as RTP and how connections are built and torn down for IP traffic.
- Strong networking including VLAN and subnetting (including the math behind subnetting).
- Next Generation Firewall (understanding how application rules work in addition to standard NAT/stateful firewall)
- DNS – Can demonstrate where a domain is registered, where the DNS records are, how to update records. Linux experience with DNS is a plus but not required by any means.
- Can discuss the importance of various DNS records for email and how email flow works.
- Network Security – Proven industry experience and knowledge. Certification helpful (CEH, CISSP, others) but not required.
- Wireless Troubleshooting – understanding power, adjacent channel interference, co-channel interference and how it applies to Wi-Fi.
- Confident with tools such as Wireshark, Nmap, tcpdump.
- LOVES to document. We document everything (it's required for employment).
- Curious and will investigate without being coaxed.
- Understands the importance of being efficient with time management.
- Willing to adhere to published and implied standards and policies.
Responsibilities include providing second line and single point of contact support to contract clients on a variety of issues on-site, remotely, over the phone and e-mail. Maintain, analyze, troubleshoot, and repair computer systems, hardware, peripherals, telephony, and network connectivity. Have knowledge of when to route incidents to next level support. Be able to define differences between an incident request and a change order. Must have great customer service skills both on the phone and off, good sense of humor and be able to establish and maintain professional working relationships with clients, suppliers, staff, and management, as well as communicate complex information clearly (100% English fluency is a must) to both technical and non-technical audiences.
This is a full-time position, experience is required and pay is DOE. Hourly plus additional monthly performance compensation, employee medical insurance, and matching IRA after successfully completing probationary period.
