River Edge offers outpatient services at our Emery Highway-Macon, Monroe County and Baldwin County locations. Outpatient services include behavioral health, nursing, and psychiatric assessment, stabilization and medication maintenance services as well as crisis intervention services as well as awareness, education and recovery groups.

The new Crisis Stabilization Diagnostic Center in the middle of Macan will be another historic milestone for Macon and the State of Georgia.
Once completed, the CSDC will be a 16-bed crisis stabilization unit for individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) and/or co-occurring IDD/BH diagnoses. Through a partnership with Mercer University School of Medicine, there will be additional space for outpatient clinic services such as primary medicine, dental, vision, podiatry, and other specialty services. This state-of-the-art facility will be a game changer for the care and treatment of the IDD population in the State of Georgia and other surrounding states.
The BCBA will assist and provide oversight to behavioral services offered within the Crisis Stabilization Diagnostic Center and adhere to ongoing review and measurement of programs, services, and applications to comply with regulations, policies, procedures, and standards set by the Georgia Department of Behavior Health & Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD). The Board-Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA) will approach all services from a trauma-informed and holistic view for adults with IDD and/or co-occurring IDD/BH diagnoses.
The Crisis Stabilization Diagnostic Center (CSDC) will provide comprehensive assessments, behavioral design, and intervention programs for individuals with Intellectual Disability Disorder (IDD) and behavioral challenges. The BCBA will attend an interdisciplinary treatment team and support other discipline leaders. The BCBA will discuss cases, share data, and elaborate on treatment approaches, progress made, and discharge dates. Participate in the overall treatment approach from a team perspective.

Position Summary
The BCBA will oversee all ABA interventions for the clients on the unit. The BCBA will provide training and assist with implementing the Behavior Support Plan with all staff. The BCBA will also work directly with the parent/guardian to notify them of the client's progress, including weekly treatment calls.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the delivery of ABA therapy services, focusing on children with developmental delays, particularly autism spectrum disorders.
- Perform assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide leadership and supervision to therapy teams, including training staff and collaborating with parents and families.
- Conduct comprehensive behavioral skills assessments and develop individualized ABA treatment plans and programs based on assessment findings.
- Perform Functional Behavior Assessments and develop Behavior Intervention Plans.
- Ensure proper implementation of treatment plans and offer clinical supervision to staff members.
- Modify treatment plans and programs as necessary, guided by data-driven decisions.
- Provide initial and ongoing training to therapists and ensure adherence to internal policies.
- Administer benefits as applicable.
Qualifications
- Possess a valid and active license with the Board of Applied Behavior Analysis as a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst.
- Master's degree in social service field (Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Human Services) or related field
- Valid GA Drivers License and reliable transportation
- Adhere to HIPAA privacy and confidentiality standards rigorously.
- Maintain professional boundaries to prevent dual relationships.
- Engage actively with Settle Down ABA's internal board of ethics.
- Demonstrate proficiency in interacting with culturally and linguistically diverse families.
- Comfortably work in homes of families with limited resources.

Competencies:
Ethical Practices: Adhere to the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts.
Collaboration: Demonstrate the ability to understand and interpret organizational, state, and federal regulations, including those related to professional development, safety training, and confidentiality policies as required by DBHDD, while collaborating with other behavioral professionals.
Designing Intervention Plans: Capable of designing programs to meet the physical, social, and emotional needs of clients served, while also maximizing team collaboration, cooperation, and service integration across disciplines and within the organization.
Training: Possess the ability to certify in the Mindset de-escalation methodology and provide training to other professionals. Additionally, provide necessary training to caregivers and other individuals involved in the individual’s care to ensure consistency.
Emotional Intelligence: Must maintain emotional and physical composure and refrain from responding inappropriately to clients who may attempt to evoke a response from the staff, such as calling names, spitting, or making verbal threats.
Data Collection: Demonstrate experience with severe and challenging behaviors, collect data on behaviors, analyze it to measure progress, make informed decisions, and adjust intervention strategies accordingly.
