Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our team. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Your primary responsibility will be to perform dental cleanings and assist the dentist in various procedures. Duties: - Perform dental cleanings, including scaling, root planing, and polishing - Take and develop dental x-rays - Conduct oral cancer screenings - Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized oral care instructions - Administer local anesthesia as needed - Assist the dentist during procedures by handing them instruments and performing other tasks as directed - Maintain accurate patient records and update medical histories - Follow strict infection control protocols to ensure the safety of patients and staff Experience: To be successful in this role, you should have the following skills and qualifications: - Previous experience as a Dental Hygienist is preferred - Proficiency in dental software such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Epic, or similar systems - Knowledge of medical coding and terminology related to dental procedures - Familiarity with vital signs monitoring and basic anatomy knowledge - Strong understanding of infection control protocols in a dental setting - Ability to operate CAD/CAM systems for digital impressions (preferred but not required) - Experience in dental assisting is a plus If you are looking for an opportunity to make a difference in patients' lives while working in a supportive and collaborative environment, we encourage you to apply.
