Job Description
Summary
Responsible for the on-going management of EVS employees and the cleanliness and general maintenance of public areas and business operations
Job Duties
Supervises the preparation of work schedules for staff. Trains staff in all necessary tasks according to company procedures. Monitors the performance of staff and adherence to policies and procedures. Issues supplies and equipment as required. Arranges for repair of cleaning equipment. Maintains and updates the cleaning supplies inventory. Submits requisitions for cleaning supplies and equipment as needed. Coordinates activities of outside vendors providing services and/or equipment for the complex. May perform duties of supervisors and staff as required. Responsible for the daily operation of the EVS department. Monitors and controls all costs associated with the department of responsibility in accordance with the budget. Responsible for cleanliness of all public areas including and not limited to the casino, hotel lobby. Hotel corridors and public restrooms in accordance with established corporate and company standards. Responsible for staff adherence to established cleaning schedules and projects. Responsible for control and maintenance of all department equipment. Manages the preventative maintenance program for public areas. Coordinates with Engineering to ensure all maintenance issues are communicated and resolved. Maintains OSHA compliance standards. Maintains superior guest relations and resolves any issues to areas of responsibility. Achieves established guest service goals. Ensures department’s compliance with all established company policies and procedures. Manages scheduling and payroll in accordance with budget and business volumes for the department. Performs all related duties as directed by management. Ensures compliance with all regulatory controls and the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.
Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. At least 3 years’ experience in a large cleaning operation. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Flexibility with regard to schedule. Must be able to work in a smoke-filled environment. Must be able to qualify for and maintain licensure as required by Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board. Must have a thorough knowledge of approved Responsible Gaming Program.
