ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Provides vaccines to patients in accordance to CDC guidelines and InterMed protocols
- Document all clinical data correctly and appropriately in patient’s EHR
- Communicate patient information to physician and necessary members of care team
- Reaches out to patients as needed to assist with appointment coordination
- Completes required safety checklists
- Prepare, stock and clean exam room(s), maintain supplies and equipment
- Oversight of clinical environment with attention to safety and infection control
- Oversight of clinical equipment including routine checks, calibration, cleaning and repairing
- Maintain emergency equipment
- Maintain pharmacy stock
- Oversight of vaccine storage, handling and supply
- Provide patient nursing care; facilitate patient education
- Coordinate and support individual, group and population-based health maintenance and promotion
- Excellent professional judgment and decision-making ability
- Demonstrate initiative, responsibility and flexibility
- Demonstrate critical and reflective thinking
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
- Special projects as assigned by lead, coordinator or manager

- Responds to medical office emergencies with the care team and administers CPR and basic first aid when required (and as demonstrated by competency)
- Recognizes the importance of the patient, family, and/or caregiver to patient centered care
- Demonstrates a respectful and positive attitude to all patients, coworkers and providers
JOB REQUIREMENTS
MA
- Successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program,
- preferably an Associates Degree program; current CMA or RMA certification; or must obtain within 6 weeks of hire
RN
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
- Unencumbered active registered nurse licensure in state of Maine
All
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Proficient in Windows applications, electronic medical record preferred
Schedule:
Flexible: 16-40 hours per week available
Clinic open Monday - Thursday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
