The mission of the Center for Early Success is to strengthen the system of individuals and organizations caring for and educating children ages birth to five.

VA ITSN behavior coaching services are provided to programs that serve infants and toddlers (ages 0-36 months) to promote social emotional development, improve quality of teacher-child interactions, and reduce challenging behaviors. Priority will be for early care providers, directors, and their families from VQB5 programs receiving public funds or programs with a specific referral for a child demonstrating need. An ITBC will follow specific steps and guidelines to ensure childcare sites are well equipped to handle behavioral challenges.
Responsibilities include:
- Recruit and select infant toddler classrooms
- Conduct/preview pre-assessment observations of classrooms
- Complete site agreement for each classroom
- Develop social emotional consultation plan with director and staff for each classroom
- Provide resources, materials, and other supports
- Coordinate services with Improvement Partners and Ready Regions
- Provide coaching in-person, virtually, or a combination (hybrid) of methods
- Complete Regional Office Monthly Report supporting information reported in the database and containing qualitative data regarding work with programs
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3 years’ experience working with children 0 to 36 months.
- Knowledge of CLASS Assessment Tool for Infants and Toddlers
- Willingness to travel
