JOB TITLE: Tank Yard Quality Control Lead
LOCATION: Houston, TX
POSITION REPORTS TO: Tank Operations Manager
SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday; 8-hour shifts. Some overtime and some weekends required.
COMPENSATION: Commensurate with experience and skills
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs industrial tank cleanings
- Performs quality checks to ensure tank and equipment is in good operating condition prior to delivery
- Ensures timeliness of tank orders are met
- Work productively without constant supervision
- Work with a team to organize and effectively run the Tank and Service Needs
- Ability to be on call and respond to spill clean-up service calls
- Other tasks and projects as assigned by manager
- Update Sales Force on order status for tank and service orders
- Evaluate all areas of responsibility and recommend and implement new processes
- Ensure safety equipment is properly maintained. Tasks may include periodic facility fire inspections, coordinating maintenance on fire extinguishers, verifying that first aid kits are properly stocked and ensuring that company vehicles and equipment are serviced
BASIC REQUIREMENTS
- Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and a clear MVR
- Respond to emergency/spill clean-up service calls 24/7 if called upon
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to work at high elevations
- Ability to work in extreme temperature and weather conditions
- Must exhibit stable employment history
- Successfully pass drug screen and background check in accordance with plant/refinery standards
- Must be motivated, able to communicate effectively with co-workers and management and work well in a team environment
- Ability to promote teamwork, be a self-starter, and work with minimal supervision
- Ability to work a flexible work schedule. Come in early, stay late or work on weekends when needed
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to travel, work weekends and overtime when necessary
PREFERRED
- Prior experience working on pumps and pressure testing tanks including building and repairing
- 1 year of prior warehouse general labor experience
- Prior experience operating forklifts
- TWIC card/or ability to acquire
