Under the direction of the Buyer, develops and implements merchandise plans for assigned categories to ensure that departmental financial plans, objectives, and merchandise strategies are achieved.
- Select, develop, and implement merchandise plans for the assigned categories to support achievement of the departmental goals and objectives.
- Assist the Buyer in the development and achievement of financial goals for the assigned categories.
- Ensure compliance with established budget parameters and company policies and procedures.
- Complete special projects, as directed.
- BS/BA level education or its equivalent
- 1-2 years related experience
- Strong planning, analytical, organizational, negotiating and communication skills
- Basic merchandising knowledge
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
