Summary: The Patient Care Coordinator is an integral member of a team who provides office support to mobile hearing care professionals by attending to the daily operations such as scheduling and record management. Position provides training toward a fulfilling and lucrative career as a hearing care professional.
Responsibilities
- Schedules initial and follow up appointments.
- Creates a new chart both in the EMR and paper record for new patients.
- Prepares for the following day’s appointments by pulling charts and confirming appointments.
- Timely communication with clients and/or facilities as to any changes in appointment times due to dispenser’s ability to remain on schedule.
- Answers phone calls and email messages promptly and notifies staff members of important information.
- Makes follow up calls inquiring on client’s satisfaction and or needs following evaluations and or deliveries.
- Maintains patient records through data entry and filing.
- Verifies insurance benefits, submits claims and follows up on denials.
- Triages requests for urgent patient care through communication with dispensers.
- Screens incoming email and sorts it into categorized folders
- Verifies invoices and orders to reduce errors.
- Copy, digitize and file office documents
- Additional responsibilities, as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in the office setting.
- Knowledge of office administrator responsibilities, systems and procedures.
- Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS Outlook, in particular).
- Hands on experience with office machines (e.g. fax machines and printers).
- Familiarity with email scheduling tools, like Email Scheduler and Boomerang.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work.
- Customer service skills.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment.
- A creative mind with an ability to suggest improvements.
- High School degree or equivalent; Associates in Business preferred.

Pay: $41,600.00 - $56,000.00 per year
