RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Act as a resource/point of contact for clients auto insurance and property insurance claims issues.
- Develop positive relationships with Zander clients, and carriers.
- Manage open claims and aggressively pursue timely closure of all claims.
- Assist in investigation of claims.
- Participate in claims strategies and identify any potential issues.
- Be a resource to educate our clients on what will happen with the claims process.
- Analyze claims status, prepare and/or present reports to management.
- Keep abreast of all new developments in the claim’s arena.
- Maintain an extensive knowledge of insurance coverages and markets.
- Document claim activity on agency and account management system.
- Other duties and assignments as directed by management.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in claims administration, claims processing, or similar duties within personal lines or commercial property and casualty.
- Detailed understanding of multiple lines of personal lines coverages OR
- 2+ years of personal or commercial property and casualty experience.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, are required.
- Must be self-motivated, problem solving/solution oriented with goal setting and project administration skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills including negotiation skills, team building skills, and flexibility.
- Must have strong internal and external customer service skills, with the ability to develop sound relationships with multiple clients and claims partners.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and minimum typing speed of 45 wpm required.
- Willingness to expand knowledge and effectiveness in insurance industry by successful completion of extended insurance education beyond continuing education requirements for licensing.
- Organizational and time management skills to prioritize workloads to meet time sensitive deadlines required.
- Must have the ability to analyze and interpret claims information.
- Demonstrated professional, tactful negotiation and persuasion skills to achieve objectives required.
- Insurance and claims management designations/certifications a plus.
- You have a Property and Casualty license in Tennessee
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
