EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology related field from an accredited four year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Three years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge of one or more programming languages a plus (ex. Java, C++)
High School Diplomas and college/university degrees must be obtained from an accredited program or university approved by the United States Department of Education and the Texas Education Agency.
PRIMARY PURPOSE SUMMARY :
Responsible for the analysis and translation of business and technical requirements into solutions that are consistent with the overall business strategy and vision of the District. Provides maintenance and support for District ERP System. Communicates with various outside agencies, internal departments and campuses to determine and define District needs. Supervises Analyst in the absence of Director.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Analyzes, designs, codes, tests and implements computer systems to satisfy determined requirements.
2. Analyzes, designs, develops and supports ERP work flows and ERP processes.
3. Serves as ERP Administrator for various functions.
4. Supports all ERP applications.
5. Develops, tests, and validates SQL queries and stored procedures.
6. Assists in the creation of documentation and training for the various applications.
7. Works with management in defining short and long range plans and setting priorities for projects.
8. Maintains and enhances existing systems.
9. Conducts training programs for users as needed.
10. Works with the help desk personnel and users to resolve problems and or questions.
11. Aids in assessing the functionality and limitations of various computer related hardware and software products.
12. Works with Director of ERP Information Systems in striving to keep personnel informed on pertinent matters.
13. Reviews existing computer programs and recommends refinements, improvements and enhancements.
14. Works with users to determine the needs and requirements for new applications.
15. Works with Director of ERP Information Systems in matching staff members and job assignments effectively.
16. Works jointly with Director of ERP Information Systems and subordinates to identify and attain improvement goals.
17. Optimizes the processing characteristics of computer programs, file design to ensure that the maximum amount of productive work is generated for the amount of computer resources used.
18. Participates in prioritizing requests from the user community as to their relative importance and degree of difficulty to implement.
19. Evaluates state and local reporting requirements and ensures that mandated information is supplied in a correct and proper format.
20. Evaluates the school District environment to determine opportunities for streamlining procedures which result in more effective utilization of District personnel.
21. Tests programs written by personnel assigned to project or self.
22. Works with Director of ERP Information Systems in disseminating ideas and information to other professionals.
23. Supervises ERP Analyst in the absence of Director of ERP Information Systems.
24. Seeks, accepts and responds to evaluative feedback from supervisors, peers and subordinates.
25. Works under minimum supervision.
26. Maintains confidentiality of information.
27. Reports to work on time every day.
28. Performs additional duties and accepts other responsibilities as may be assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
• Knowledge of computer hardware and software, including applications and programming
- Technical experience with systems networking, databases, Web development, and user support
- Proficient in Structured Query Language (SQL)
- Proficient in ERP development programming languages
- Proficient in work flow processes used in ERP
- Strong project management skills with effective results within an information systems environment
- Ability to read and interpret technical material
- Ability to establish innovative and creative approaches to problem solving
- Ability to comprehend oral and written communication from various outside agencies and internal departments
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff members to maintain efficient software designs and standards
- Valid Texas Driver's License with driving record that meets the requirements of the District
