WHAT YOU’LL DO
Primary Function Summary
- Adapt and promote Lean Manufacturing principles
- Active participant in the Elimination of Waste Team meetings
- Support the Company’s Goals and Objectives
- Creates deliveries and stages material in preparation for shipment to the customer and/or outside processing. Includes assigning product in SAP for final posting of delivery and ASN
- Responsible for unloading and loading customer trucks in the specified window times
- Responsible for accurate and timely ASN (Advance Shipment Notice) after each customer shipment
- Responsible for maintaining a safe, organized and clean finished goods area
- Responsible for verifying count of customer Dunnage when received (and making Bill of Lading accordingly with corrections prior to the driver leaving) and condition of dunnage. Assists production with proper storage of dunnage
- Receives components and miscellaneous items; verifies quantity received and condition of product (and making Bill of Lading accordingly with corrections prior to the driver leaving). Properly stores items in their designated locations after applying internal barcode labels as appropriate
- Distributes receiving paperwork to the appropriate departments. (e.g.: vendor Bill of Lading to Purchasing, customer Bills of Lading accordingly with corrections prior to the driver leaving).
- Assists in performing periodic Cycle Counts and Physical inventories
- Backup duties to the Material Control Coordinator as assigned (e.g. SMART system, SAP system, shipping reports.)
- Works directly with Material Control Coordinator, and indirectly with General Production Supervisor, and Production Supervisors
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
- Must be able to work a normal 7:00 AM-3:00 PM workday as well as the ability to work evenings and weekends when necessary.
- Must have good organizational skills
- Must be able to function in a very fast paced environment
- Work may require extended periods of sitting, standing, lifting, bending and stooping
- Excellent manual dexterity, ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with continuous exposure to noise
- Must be able to work necessary overtime if required
