Materials Inventory Analyst

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Deep Knowledge and understanding of AMI behaviors, practice them, train others, and promote it;
- Practice and promote all HR policies and procedures regarding hiring, training, certification and disciplinary actions
- Make decisions based on data to support KPIs for safety, quality, delivery, and cost;
- Cooperate with all other departments so the plant meets all safety, quality, delivery, and cost KPI's
- Responsible for maintaining an accurate inventory of items throughout
- Daily Production WIP inventory walkthrough (Walks the lines and inspects point of use inventory status) proceeds to verify inventory status systematically to determine IF the planner needs to be notified
- Monitors Status of on time and late supplier deliveries (RECON system has all our carriers use by AMI) and calls LTL and TL carriers delivery status
- Communicates to Supply chain low inventory status of on hand inventory to determine if Expedites is needed
- Communicates to Production lines material issues ahead of time to avoid disruptions (this allows the plant to change production planning days ahead of time of in some case same day planning) this communication
- is critical to avoid running glass that will sit on the floor longer than needed
- Perform physical inventories on specific items as necessary to ensure proper levels for plant operations.
- Conform to site health and safety procedures as appropriate.
- Other activities as assigned by the Materials Supervisor.
- Cross-train in other areas of Receiving as assigned by the Materials Supervisor.
- Possess a high sense of urgency and high level of pride in keeping an organized and accurate inventory system.
- Generate BOL for shipments via Freight and schedule pick ups.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
- Must be able to read and understand English
- Ability to prioritize work assignments.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Strong team working capabilities.
- Good communication and inter-personal skills.
- Proficient in MS Office and data entry.
- Ability to drive a forklift and Order Picker and obtain suitable certification.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and 15-30 lbs frequently during the shift.
- Must be able to work a 40 hour work week, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
- Bi-lingual (English and Spanish).
- Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Experience in MRR, POWER IE, lineal requirements for plant, Main Frame for plant, Main frame for Premium, Alwin, Shipping Scheduler, Recon.
