JOB SUMMARY
Provides a stimulating, safe and developmentally appropriate educational environment where children have the opportunity to develop cognitive, social, emotional and physical skills.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Ensures that the physical, social and emotional needs of the children are met daily.
- Ensures all policies and procedures to keep the children healthy and safe are being implemented.
- Implement activities and opportunities that encourage curiosity, exploration and problem solving appropriate to the developmental levels and learning styles of children through well defined interest areas.
- Assists and supervises children during all activities.
- Ensures that appearance, cleanliness and safe environment of classroom are appropriately maintained.
- Assists children with meal times and cleanup.
- Interacts with parents and maintains open communication to encourage family engagement.
- Ensures that all licensing regulations are being followed as required by the state.
- Performs other similar or related duties as necessary.
- Additional responsibilities as deemed necessary to facilitate a high quality program.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Candidate must pass a background check to qualify for employment.
- All employees must receive the required amount of training hours each calendar year per state licensing requirements.
- 45 Hour Course or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $12.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
