Job Duties: The Senior Product Owner will be responsible for identifying unmet clinical needs for the Abiomed Critical Care programs and leading the development and deployment of machine-learning based algorithms used in Abiomed’s family of products. Responsibilities include: Build deep understanding of target markets in Critical Care and ICU spaces, including evolving technology and healthcare trends, competitive dynamics, unmet needs, and landscape of large data sets available for AI/ML model development. Partner with internal and external stakeholders to identify AI/ML growth opportunities and unmet patient, clinician and business needs for the cardiac intensive care unit and related care settings. Perform data analysis and modeling using a variety of analytic techniques, tools, and programming languages to provide business insight and product analytics. Develop business plan, initial value proposition, go-to-market approach, marketing specifications, partnership opportunities for new solutions and enhancements to existing solutions in collaboration with cross-functional team. Conduct defined quantitative and qualitative research projects independently and communicates research results to stakeholders. Help advance new product/solution opportunities from ideation to active product development through deployment by performing complex data analysis on large volumes of data. Oversee development of AI/ML algorithmic and rule-based models and analytic capabilities based on machine learning, mathematical modeling, pattern recognition, and data mining techniques. Develop go-to-market strategy, value proposition and key claims, monitor that those claims are met through development, and oversee post-market surveillance of deployed algorithms. Successful commercial and operational introduction of new products and services ready for a full market release. Prepare and maintain programs and documentation repositories for analytic models, align algorithms with relevant industry requirements and holds team accountable to meet them.
Requirements: Employer will accept a Master's degree in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Data Science, Applied Math, or a closely related field and at least five (5) years of work experience in any occupation performing data mining and data processing within the healthcare, biotechnology, or medical device industry.
10% domestic travel required per year.
