Overview:
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual account roll forward schedules for various balance sheet accounts for Atlas Air and Polar Air. Prepare monthly and quarterly expense analysis and variance explanations. Assist in the documentation of Sarbanes Oxley section 404 compliance. Invoice coding.
Responsibilities:
- Work with internal and outside auditors, and with other Departments such as Accounts Payable, Ground Operations, and Security, as well as Polar Air

Prepare analyses and journal entries to ensure accurate expense recognition in accordance with GAAP

Determine accruals for assigned accounts

Invoice coding, routing and approval
- Communicate with different levels within the Line Maintenance, Material, and Security Departments as needed to approve invoices in a timely manner, or to resolve disputed or denied invoices

Communicate with vendors on invoices and account balances. Request statements for review and follow-up

Coach Vendors to load their own invoices into Invoice Works

Ability to interpret and summarize accounting impact on long term contracts

Assist in control documentation and remediation of SOX controls relating to Technical Operations

Available to work extended hours and on weekends as needed

Ability to work effectively with large groups of data

Must have excellent PC skills (Excel, Word)

Special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with public reporting companies
-
Experience working with budgeting, forecasting, P&L analysis and cost benefit analysis

Minimum education requirements – Bachelor’s in Accounting
- CPA a plus (with Big 4 experience)

4-6 years of experience

Excellent computer skills in spreadsheets, database applications required

Able to meet deadlines, prioritize tasks and cope with shifting demands

Knowledge of Sarbanes –Oxley, particularly Section 404

Highly organized individual with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness

Self Motivated

Team Player
-
JD Edwards software experience is helpful

Airline experience is a plus
Salary Range: $85,500 - $115,500
