Palliative Personal Care is offering a $500 hiring bonus for experienced per-diem CNAs/HHAs in Metrowest.* (Details below.) We are hiring immediately. This position is for 1:1 care for seniors in their home. There is no floor work.
Are you a Personal Care Attendant who wants to get to know the senior you are helping on a 1:1 basis, to take time to fully understand their needs, and to provide exceptional help with each shift? Are you tired of working on a floor, running to the next buzzer to spend ten rushed minutes with a patient until you run to the next buzzer?

Worcester Home Care’s Palliative Personal Care program specializes in helping seniors who are transitioning in their health status or seniors who are actively dying on hospice. They need focused, high-end personal care in order to be safe and comfortable. You will be concentrating on one senior at a time with a specific care plan and on-call managers to support you if/when you need assistance. We help our seniors in their home, which is sometimes an assisted living facility.
All our shifts are 1:1. There is no floorwork. You will be treated like a professional. You will be put in a position to succeed. You will have access to your managers 24/7. We want you to be a part of our team and we want you to feel like you are contributing!
What else do you get?
· Excellent compensation. You will be paid at the top of the scale for 1:1 Personal Care Attendants in the area.
· Hiring bonus. You will receive a $500 bonus after successfully performing the required number of hours. (See below and contact for details.)
· Immediate raise. After you earn the hiring bonus, you will be eligible for an immediate pay increase, based on performance.
· Compensated training. You will complete our compensated Palliative Personal Care training module. You will learn transferable personal care skills for end-of-life/hospice-related personal care. You will receive a certificate upon successful completion.
· Referral bonus. As an employee, if you refer a new hire, you will receive a bonus after that new employee successfully performs the required number of hours.
· Also, occasional overtime (x1.5), holiday pay (x1.5), state medical leave, state family leave, and employee discount program are available.
This is a per-diem position. This can be a primary job (40+ hours a week) or a supplemental secondary job. We regularly hire Personal Care Attendants who work full-time at skilled facilities, nursing homes, rehabs, hospitals, or assisted living facilities, because they want the chance to work supplementary 1:1 as well.
We only hire Certified Nursing Assistants, Home Health Aides, Personal Care Attendants & Nursing Students who have completed clinicals. We only hire employees who have a n active driver's license, access to a vehicle, and the willingness to drive within 30 minutes of your home. Please do not apply if you are not qualified. This is a great FLEXIBLE resume building job for nursing students.
Shifts can be flexible, not necessarily 7a-3p, 3p-11p, 11p-7a. You tell us when you can work and we do our best to meet your availability. You choose the shifts you wish to perform. Shifts are generally eight hours or longer. This agency generally does not perform shifts of less than seven hours. No rushing/driving from one 2-hour shift to the next to the next to the next!
Quick hiring process. You could be assigned for shifts in days after interviewing.
Aides willing to work with seniors on hospice are prioritized. We often help seniors who are actively dying on hospice who are taking comfort care medications. If you join us, you will immediately participate in our compensated Palliative Personal Care training module, with a certificate at the end. You can use these transferable skills in your career. If you have the heart to do it, we can train you on the rest.
Required: Must be a CNA, HHA, PCA or nursing student who has completed clinicals. Must have an active driver’s license, access to a reliable vehicle, willingness to drive up to 30 minutes from your home for all shifts. Must be eligible to work in the US. Must be able to speak English fluently.
*The $500 hiring bonus is paid once the employee performs 250 hours of work, over a three month time period. This bonus is only offered to applicants living in towns in either Middlesex or Norfolk counties in Massachusetts, or in Southborough or Milford Massachusetts.
