Job Description:
High Country Title, LLC is seeking a dedicated and experienced Escrow Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the closing and escrow processes from start to finish, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for all parties involved. If you have a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of real estate transactions and loan servicing, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Commute to Pagosa Springs: Commute to Pagosa Springs from Monday to Friday, 8AM - 5PM.
- Schedule Closings: Coordinate closing schedules with buyers/borrowers and sellers.
- Client Communication: Communicate effectively with clients on file statuses and answer any questions they may have.
- Document Preparation: Draft accurate title documents for closing.
- Disclosure Balancing: Balance the closing disclosure and review lender documents.
- Calculations: Calculate tax and HOA prorations.
- Final Figures: Send final figures to clients for review.
- Notarization: Notarize documents and guide clients through the closing appointment.
- File Disbursement: Disburse files with authorization from the lender and accounting department.
- Document Management: Scan and ship documents to lenders and clients.
- Correspondance: Answer questions and concerns by phone as needed for closings and escrow concerns.
Qualifications:
- 3+ Years as an Escrow Officer or in a similar role in the state of Colorado required.
- Colorado notary certification is required.
- Title and Escrow Licenses or willingness to obtain licenses within 90 days required.
- Strong knowledge of real estate transactions and title processes.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with clients and team members.
- Knowledge of the closing software Qualia is preferred.
- Knowledge of Loan Servicing is preferred.
- Reliable transportation for commuting to Pagosa Springs.
