Job Purpose:
This position leads a full-cycle AP team whose responsibilities include enforcement of internal controls and processing accounts payable invoices and payments in a high-volume environment.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Oversees all A/P functions and check/ACH processing

Assists with research of unbilled receipts / PORM

Works closely with store manager to resolve issues

Processes daily invoices from Carrier & other vendors into payables

Verifies purchase orders and generates direct ship billing to customers

Assists with reconciliation of Carrier statement

Performance management of department employees and efficiency improvements

Procedure documentation for all job functions within department

Responsible for maintaining front desk coverage

Recruit and select new employees for the department

Train new hires
-
Approve time cards, schedules and track time off for department

Maintains current, accurate A/P file

Implements EDI with new vendors
-
Helps maintain document storage system for A/P functions

Maintains regular, punctual and reliable physical attendance

Works cooperatively with others

Qualifications:

Associate degree in Accounting/Business or equivalent experience preferred

Minimum 5 years’ experience which includes high volume Accounts Payables processing

Computer proficient Microsoft Office
-
SAP experience, preferred

Highly efficient time management and organizational skills
-
Proven record meeting deadlines
Travel Requirement:

0% travel to branches and other operating companies requiring some overnight stay, travel to industry related conferences and training requiring some extended stay
