The Research Technician is responsible for drug administration, anesthesia, sample collection, data review/management, and mentoring other technicians. They handle animal restraint and monitoring, ensuring health and data compliance with GLP, SOP, and protocol standards. Key tasks include administering drugs, monitoring anesthesia, and serving as the Lead Point Technician on studies. The role involves extensive leadership, training, process development, creation of study specific documents, and becoming a subject matter expert in animal research. This role may also include involvement with euthanasia and handling of controlled substances. A High School Diploma/GED is required, with a preference for a BS Degree and 7+ years of experience. The position requires physical activity, wearing protective gear, and availability for extended work hours, including evenings and weekends.
