Our fast-paced Vascular Surgery Practice is looking for an upbeat, hardworking Registered Nurse (RN) in the Hagerstown, MD area. This is a part-time position, every Monday and Friday as well as the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month. The candidate that is selected for this position will work in our Hagerstown office where outpatient procedures are performed by our vascular surgeons. Our offices are open Monday thru Friday. - The candidate should have extensive experience in the healthcare setting as an RN, preferably a background in some aspect of vascular medicine.
This position will be responsible for patient care prior, during, and after all vascular procedures by performing the duties below. The duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Infection control practices
- Location and use of all PPE
- Safe storage and use of medications and medical supplies
- Administer all medications, I.V., and/or PO conscious sedation
- Ensuring operation of equipment and quality assurance tests
- Documenting findings and reports to physician,
- Resolving patient problems/needs by utilizing clinical skill strategies
- (other duties may be assigned).
Overall, we are searching for a well-rounded candidate that brings solutions to problems as they come up and thinks fast on their feet.
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university or an Associate’s degree . All applicants must have at least 1 year of experience in critical care, emergency room, IR, or Cath Lab. Current Registered Nursing license and BLS/ACLS certifications are required. We will train you in the most effective ways to provide the services you are hired to do, in order to prepare you for success.
A valid driver’s license and reliable form of transportation are required. It is preferred that you have experience using an EMR system and have standard computer technology skills. It is also important that this candidate displays exceptional customer service/quality patient care and values patient satisfaction as a top priority.
