Job Overview:
We are seeking a friendly and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Host/Cashier. As a Host/Cashier, you will be responsible for providing excellent hospitality and guest services to ensure a positive dining experience for our customers. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests upon arrival with a warm and friendly demeanor
- Seat guests and provide them with menus
- Maintain knowledge of the restaurant's layout and seating capacity
- Answer phone calls and assist with reservations or inquiries
- Manage the waitlist and notify guests when their table is ready
- Handle cash transactions accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system
- Assist with taking food orders and delivering them to the kitchen
- Collaborate with servers to ensure efficient table turnover
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host station
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in customer service or hospitality is preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in cash handling
- Knowledge of basic food service procedures is a plus
- Professional phone etiquette and ability to handle guest inquiries effectively
Note: All positions at our company are paid, including internship positions.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.33 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
