As an Oral Surgery Dental Assistant with our practice, you will be responsible for assisting our provider in delivering quality care to patients. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a team environment, have a “can do” personality, and be able to complete their assigned work timely.
In addition, the individual must display open communication to co-workers and a commitment to patient satisfaction. We want you to be skilled in providing direct or indirect patient care. This is for a full-time position, 5 days per week. From the outset, we will help to train you and bring you up to speed.
Essential Responsibilities: • Prepare the operatories, the surgical trays by selecting and setting up the instruments and the needed materials
- Welcome surgical patients to the operating suite
- Prep the patients for surgery
- Provide oral hygiene and post-operative instructions, discharge patients
- Schedule follow up appointments, maintain accurate patient records, calling patients, EMR documentation
- Comply with protocols and standards; sterilize instruments according to CDC and OSHA regulations
- Uphold a positive rapport with staff members and patients at all times
- Demonstrate safe and cost effective practices when utilizing supplies and equipment
- Undertake lab tasks if needed, maintain all clean up of consult rooms, OR surgery rooms and all other clean up duties required by the back office staff
- Keep the surgical supply well-stocked Skills
- Proven experience and knowledge of surgical instruments and sterilization methods
- COVID-19 precautions: • Personal protective equipment provided or required
- Temperature screenings, social distancing guidelines in place, sanitizing, disinfecting, or cleaning procedures in place and required
- Support shared vision and values, independent always one-step ahead
- Understanding of health & safety regulations • Good computer skills • Excellent communication and people skills
- Attention to detail, well-organized and reliable

Pay: $21.00 - $32.00 per hour
