JOB COACH I - DUTY STATEMENT:
-
Provide direct training and support consistent with each client’s IPP and ISP
-
Implement objectives under the direction of the Director or Supervisor
- Assist clients with activities of daily living as required (toileting, grooming, eating meals)

Assist clients with planned activities in the community
-
Support client choices, and know and respect rights of clients
-
Assist clients to develop and grow relationships with others in the community
-
Have knowledge of each client’s medications, dosage, purpose, and side effects
-
Assist as needed with dispensing clients’ medications and record in the log
-
Observe clients and report any health or behavior changes to the Program Director
-
Keep clear daily records of services provided and progress notes for each client
-
Attend and participate in required meetings and trainings
-
Follow company policy including but not limited to confidentiality, dress code, and hygiene
-
Maintain familiarity with community services and resources that clients may utilize
JOB COACH I - QUALIFICATIONS:
-
18 years of age or older
-
First aid and CPR certified
-
Criminal fingerprint clearance by the DOJ/FBI
-
Current health screening and TB clearance
-
Ability to speak, write, and understand English
-
Ability to act independently and as part of a team
-
Good physical health and mentally capable of performing assigned tasks

Ability to keep accurate service records
-
Knowledge of Consumers IPPs and ISPs
-
Optional: licensed to drive in California with a good DMV driving record
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL JOB COACHES:
-
Requires moderate physical exertion including bending, physically supporting clients at times, lifting (usually 40 pounds or less) and reaching or similar activities. Occasional lifting or transferring of persons is required.

Frequent mental and visual attention is required in working with clients.

Involves moderate risk requiring special safety precautions (exposure to blood or body fluids, aggressive behaviors, etc.) Employees may be required to use personal protective equipment such as masks, gloves, gowns, or shields.
