The Digital Professional Development Design Specialist will work closely with the Executive Director, Literacy to support the development and authoring of the PD website, the PD Library, in addition to supporting the development of digital resources for both online and in-person professional learning for educators to support the strong implementation of all Amplify products. The Specialist will report to the Executive Director, Literacy on identifying, prioritizing, conceptualizing, and executing on session initiatives.
Job Description
Responsibilities of the Digital Professional Development Design Specialist include:
Develop and update new webpages on the Professional Development WordPress website, working closely with designers to ensure to maintain a cohesive and user-friendly interface
Author and refine course content based on feedback from designers and users
Maintain adherence to Amplify branding guidelines across all website updates and resources
Ensure website content is accurate and functional, including verifying links and troubleshooting website issues
Support the PD team with ongoing resource updates, team documentation, and platform updates
Track hours and update team project plan with current deliverable status
Attend team and individual meetings
Other tasks as assigned by manager
Basic Qualifications:
3 or more years of experience teaching and/or coaching
3 or more years of experience with WordPress development and authoring
2 or more years of experience (at scale) designing and facilitating professional development sessions for educators, both in-person and online, that improve outcomes for students
2 or more years of experience using Amplify programs
Experience in instructional and graphic design
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Demonstrated proficiency with technology-based productivity tools and learning management systems, including Microsoft Office, Google Applications, video conferencing tools, EasyGenerator, LearnUpon, Canva, Descript, etc.
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Education or UX development or comparable experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience designing online or in-person professional development sessions for teachers and/or leaders
Experience designing content in an authoring tool
Understanding and compassion for the role of the teachers and leaders
Experience working with diverse student populations (English learners, SPED, Gifted/Talented, etc.)
The hourly rate range for this role is $25.
