We are a busy and growing family medical practice looking to add to our team of administrative support professionals to perform a variety of tasks in our medical office. Candidates can expect to be cross trained in medical reception & patient check in, calling patients and answering phone calls as well as clerical responsibilities. We only hire kind individuals that are interested in being part of a team. We are looking to hire full time but would consider part time for the right candidate.
Duties include; answering phones and scheduling appointments, welcoming patients into the practice and checking them in for their appointment as well as checking them out once their visit has ended using our Health Record Software. Providing support to clinical staff, assisting in daily office and patient needs and general administrative activities. Support
Working within the administrative segment of healthcare to coordinate with other medical offices, provide medical records assistance, process inbound mail and correspondence. We expect to hire someone who is Reliable, Level headed, hard working and Kind. Successful candidates can expect to be cross trained and become a valuable member of our team. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to organize their work using tools, like MS Office, MS Work and general office equipment. If you have previous experience and familiarity within the healthcare setting we’d like to speak with you. Ultimately, a successful administrative support staff person will be cross trained with their other teammates to ensure the efficient and smooth day-to-day operation for our patients and our office.
Responsibilities
- Checking in patients for their appointments both in person online - Telehealth
- Organize and schedule appointments
- Assist in the preparation of medical records
- Daily use of our electronic patient health records
- Update and maintain patient check in process as well as required forms.
- Provide general support to patients
- Work as a team member supporting our patients, nurses and providers.
Skills
- Professional phone skills with proven experience as an administrative assistant or office admin assistant
- Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
- Working knowledge of office equipment, like printers and fax machines
- Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular)
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
- Attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
- High School degree; additional qualification as an Administrative assistant or Secretary will be a plus
