Join Gilchrist Safety Solutions, LLC as a QAQC Construction Manager in a temporary 10-12 month full-time role. This position requires extensive weekly travel across the United States and its territories.
Reporting Structure:
The QAQC Manager will report directly to the Client's Project Manager and/or Superintendent.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Implement QA/QC Plans: Lead the creation and execution of project-specific Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) Plans in collaboration with the project team and owner/architect team, ensuring alignment with contract specifications.
- Foster Collaborative Partnerships: Promote a culture of cooperation among stakeholders, including owners, architects, consultants, subcontractors, and vendors, to ensure the seamless delivery of compliant projects.
- Uphold Ethical Standards: Maintain the highest ethical standards and compliance protocols throughout all project phases.
- Understand Contract Documents: Gain a deep understanding of contract documents, including contracts, plans, specifications, and relevant codes.
- Coordinate Safety and QA/QC Strategies: Align project-specific QA/QC Plans with safety protocols, ensuring timely coordination at crucial project milestones.
- Optimize Documentation Strategies: Continuously improve strategies and tools for efficient and accurate documentation, tracking, and recording compliance with contract specifications.
- Engage Project Stakeholders: Execute QA/QC Plans collaboratively with all project stakeholders, including staff, subcontractors, vendors, and consultants.
- Conduct Testing and Inspections: Perform necessary testing and inspections, and coordinate third-party testing and inspections as required.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of EM 385 QAQC experience on large government projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field preferred.
- OSHA 510 REQUIRED & US ARMY CORPS of Engineers QCQA training
- USACE QAQC Certificate of Training preferred (not required).
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English preferred (not required).
- Proven experience in creating and managing QA/QC Plans.
- Strong understanding of contract documents.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
- Ability to uphold high ethical and compliance standards.
