The firm is seeking an associate attorney to assist the civil litigation department and their clients.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research using various resources such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
- Prepare and file legal documents with the court
- Represent clients in court hearings and trials
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients
- Advise clients on legal matters and provide guidance on potential outcomes
- Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals on case strategy
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations that may impact cases
Requirements:
- Admission to the FL Bar.
- Strong legal research and writing skills
- Knowledge of legal drafting and administrative procedures
- Ability to effectively communicate complex legal concepts to clients and colleagues
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
