Position’s Purpose:
Manages the obtainment of materials, components, equipment and services in a cost effective and timely manner for the North America market.

Position reports to the Purchasing Manager/Supervisor/leader
Duties and Responsibilities:
Under limited supervision, performs the following duties and responsibilities:
· Plans and implements activities related to the procurement of assigned materials, parts, components and equipment. Coordinates procurement activities with both domestic and/or overseas suppliers including the sourcing of parts while ensuring orders and change notices meet production schedules and customer delivery dates.
· Previous experience in Sourcing, Develop and Purchasing Agreement previous experience. Experience in Electric Mechanical and Mechanical Parts would be a plus.
· Maintain suppliers that provide high quality products and services at a better price while maintaining the highest code of ethics and conduct.
· Performs cost analysis and volume planning for major commodities. Develops new supply sources where vendors and suppliers are inadequate. Monitors the cost, schedule and scope of assigned contracts to assure best quality at best value.
· Prepares and coordinates RFQ's for material components. Prepares and issues purchase orders and change notices. Reviews purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to Company policy. Negotiates with suppliers to expedite commodity deliveries as required.
· Prepares and reviews bids and proposals for legal correctness, price and acceptability of items to specifications. Conducts supplier negotiations and develops purchase orders and contracts within budgetary limitations and scope of authority.
· Measures supplier performance and provide reports to internal Operations management and suppliers in order to ensure continual improvement of processes and products/services.
· Manage material inventory level
· Performs other duties and tasks as assigned.
Minimum Education, Skills and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree
· Minimum of three years of purchasing experience in an electronics manufacturing or related industry required.
· Advance working knowledge of supply chain management, supply base, pricing process and strategies required. Demonstrated ability to perform moderately complex negotiations with suppliers and perform financial, technical, commercial and performance evaluations of suppliers.
· Ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively; strong time management skills required.
· Demonstrated proficiency with computer software to include MS Office (Word and Excel), e-mail and ERP systems.
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to identify and resolve complex issues is required.
· High attention to detail and strong analytical skills are required.
