LICENSED THERAPIST FOR ONLINE TELETHERAPY
ABOUT US:
Lucid Lane is an online telehealth program that provides psychotherapy for people with medication dependence or substance use disorders (i.e. addiction). We are seeking a therapist to provide CBT-based therapies, motivated to address the opioid and drug epidemic, and interested in gaining experience in these areas. In response to COVID, we are now offering therapy to help those affected by the pandemic.
For medication dependence, we address the psychological distress, anxiety, and pain that comes with tapering. For substance use disorder, we address motivation for those wanting change and relapse prevention relapse prevention for those leaving treatment programs. Our program is designed and supervised by a multidisciplinary team of faculty and physicians from Stanford University from Addiction Medicine, Psychiatry, Anesthesiology, and Internal Medicine.
Therapist also collaborate with our client’s physicians to mentor and advocate for evidence-based addiction treatment. This includes recognizing and alerting physicians towards opportunities for medication-assisted treatment or changing the speed of tapers off of benzodiazepines and opioids when appropriate.
SCHEDULE: Full time and flexible part-time opportunities available. Work from home remotely using our HIPAA compliant online software.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Licensed therapist (e.g. LCSW). We are not accepting associate therapists at this time.
- Prefer one year of experience performing the duties noted above or equivalents.
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries with clients, the community, and other staff members.
- Understanding of support groups available.
- Ability to pass criminal background checks.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
- Provide 60 minute psychotherapy sessions.
- Attend weekly treatment team meeting with medical director.
- Use CBT, mindfulness-based interventions, and other evidence-based interventions on individual clients and families.
- Collaborate with client’s primary care provider or mental health providers to update them about client’s progress.
- Provide daily support to members through texting during business hours.
- Collect client demographic and program outcome data (e.g. quality of life and functioning scores).
- Support clients with anxiety, insomnia, or pain, who are tapering off of benzodiazepines or opioids and are dealing with withdrawal symptoms.
- Introduce clients and facilitate connection to appropriate 12-step or other mutual support groups (SMART recovery, Refuge Recovery) based on client’s preference.
- Timely documentation of sessions and weekly treatment team meetings.
- Engage in continuing education such as motivational interviewing and cognitive behavioral therapy webinars.
