Job Summary:
The team behind Alta Calidad, a Michelin Bib Gourmand award winning restaurant, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Manager to oversee our restaurant operations, along with our new restaurant openign next door. The General Manager will be responsible for ensuring the overall success of the establishment by managing daily operations, providing exceptional guest service, and leading a team of dedicated staff members. A minimum of 5 years of management experience in upper-casual dining to fine dining is required. Management candidates must be comfortable working the floor and leading the team during service. A high level of professionalism is a must. An understanding of financial flash reports and management of COG and Labor costs is essential. Hospitality must be an integral part of your management style.
Duties:
- Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, including food production, hospitality, and kitchen management in conjunction with our Chef de Cuisines and Culinary Director.
- Manage inventory control to minimize waste and maximize profitability
- Maintain a clean and organized restaurant environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Utilize Toast POS system and 3rd party delivery apps for order processing, payment transactions, and reporting
- Provide leadership and guidance to staff members, fostering a positive work environment
- Train and develop team members to deliver exceptional guest service
- Collaborate with the Culinary Team to create innovative menu offerings that meet customer preferences
- Monitor financial performance, analyze data, and implement strategies to drive revenue growth
- Expand catering and events division of the restaurants.
Skills:
- Strong leader with background in team building, financial analysis and management of COGS and Labor.
- Proven experience in restaurant operations
- Proficient in inventory control techniques to optimize cost management
- Knowledge of Toast POS system or similar point-of-sale software
- Exceptional leadership abilities with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with staff and customers
- Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards
- Passion for the culinary industry and staying up-to-date with industry trends
