Join our team as a Yoga Instructor and inspire our members to lead healthier lives through the practice of yoga. We are seeking an instructor who is able to teach 5-6 classes per week (one evening, 3 mornings). There is an opportunity to pick up additional classes each week, especially during the month of August.

Responsibilities:
- Teach yoga classes to students of all levels, focusing on proper alignment, body mechanics, and safety.
- Develop and lead workshops, special events, and masterclasses on various yoga topics
- Provide personalized instruction and guidance to students, addressing their unique needs and goals
- Foster a positive and supportive studio environment, promoting a sense of community among students
- Maintain a thorough understanding of yoga anatomy and body mechanics to ensure safe and effective teaching practices
- Stay current with industry developments and best practices in yoga instruction, continually updating and refining teaching skills
- Participate in new instructor auditions as needed
- Arrive at the studio at least 15 minutes before class start time to set-up and 15 minutes after for cleanup
- Set up classroom appropriately (props, mat spacing, music, lighting; clean up after class ends
Requirements:
- A minimum of 200 hours of yoga teacher training, with experience teaching yoga classes (500 preferred as we are seeking to host 200 and 300 hour certification classes each year)
- Strong knowledge of yoga anatomy and body mechanics
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to educate students on proper alignment and body mechanics
- CPR certification preferred
- Basic computer skills
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5 – 15 per week
