Registered Nurse (RN) Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical supervision to Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) providing direct resident care. Give daily instruction to CNAs regarding nursing care related to resident's individual needs.
- Conduct resident rounds every shift, reporting issues to the RN Supervisor and/or Director of Nursing.
- Perform, document and follow facility policies and procedures on admissions, transfers, and discharges of residents as assigned.
- Obtain and carry out physician's orders accurately and correctly. Administer and document direct resident care, medications, and treatments per physician's orders.
- Document resident care provided and resident's response to nursing interventions. Review and update resident care plans as necessary and as assigned.
- Administer medications to residents in an accurate and timely manner. Monitor residents for effectiveness of drug therapy and occurrence of adverse events and ensure proper documentation.
- Listen to resident, family or physician concerns and initiate corrective action and/or report to the RN Supervisor and Director of Nursing as appropriate.
-Assume responsibility for compliance with Federal, Sate and local regulations.
-Come to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrate dependability, professionalism, and punctuality.
Preferred:
- Prior experience with Point Click Care/Electronic Health Record systems (EHR).
Requirements:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California.
-Current CPR Certification.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
