Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Wound Care Nurse to join our team at several nursing homes in the area. The wound care nurse will be responsible for providing basic care for residents with wounds. This role ensures the highest quality of care and works collaboratively with healthcare professionals to promote optimal healing and well-being of our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
Wound Assessment and Care: Administer appropriate wound care treatments, including dressing changes, debridement, and application of topical medications. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members regarding wound care progress and any changes in treatment plans.
Monitoring and Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of wound assessments, treatments, and progress notes in accordance with nursing home policies and regulatory requirements. Provide training and support to nursing staff on wound care techniques and best practices.
Compliance and Quality Improvement: Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards, including infection control protocols and safety guidelines.
Qualifications: Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts . Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with a focus on wound care preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
