Immediate opening for a full-time, Field Service Representative in the orthopedic, sports medicine bracing industry supporting an established territory. Possible advancement to sales position with proven success. Medical Associate or orthopedic background preferred. MUST HAVE RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION FOR THIS ROLE. Service Territory would include parts of metro Atlanta, Highway 400, and surrounding NW areas including Marietta, Kennesaw, and Calhoun.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for proper measuring, application, education, use care, and expected outcome of orthopedic soft goods, functional bracing, and other DJO products as prescribed by physicians at the orthopedic practice.
- Coordinate patient care for follow-up brace fitting appointments for our Insurance Channel, as necessary.
- Provide comprehensive account management and day-to-day service operations for stock-and-bill programs customized for clinical orthopedic practices.
- Assist with inventory management including organizing and tracking, participating in required audits, and managing defective product returns and exchanges for OfficeCare customers
- Ensure accurate completion of appropriate forms and documentation through secure automation platforms for delivery to appropriate billing department, following all necessary compliance and regulatory processes.
- Communicate patient benefits and potentially collect of out-of-pocket costs for services rendered using automated business transaction tools within company guidelines.
- Work within EMRs (when available) to access appropriate patient information for billing, as well as to read and understand medical records.
- Maintain a high level of professional and technical knowledge by staying current on relevant payor rules.
- Serve as the face of Caliber Medical and the companies we represent, build and maintain effective relationships with clinic staff at varying levels.
- Serve as a liaison between the customer and Sales Team.
- Plays a critical role in Business Reviews to report activity and performance of the clinic and/or territory.
- Responsible for achieving metrics and KPIs as set forth by management to ensure clinic performance and efficiency.
- Participate in continuing education required to keep current on all relevant certifications and/or licensure.
- Maintain thorough professional and technical knowledge by staying current on relevant bracing products, corresponding documentation (e.g., Product Inserts, Manuals, Promotion Materials, etc.), and Company policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate a commitment to the any manufacturer Compliance & Ethics Program, Code of Conduct, and all supporting and applicable regulations, policies, and procedures for any of Caliber's represented brands.
- Adheres to all internal Caliber Corporate Compliance guidelines, OIG, and government healthcare regulations, regulatory policies and procedures, policies and procedures set forth by the clinic or hospital administration, and privacy and security standards (i.e., HIPAA) in accordance with government agency requirements.
- Treats Protected Health Information (PHI) with the strictest confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a hospital, healthcare facility/clinic or office, or as an independent contractor working directly in the care of the orthopedic patient, or related experience required.
- Orthotic Fitter, Physical Therapy Certification, Orthopedic Technology Certification, BOC Physical Therapy Certification, or Orthopedic Technology Certification is preferred, but not required.
- Demonstrated patient care experience.
- Must possess a valid drivers license and current automobile insurance.
- Must satisfy third-party credentialing requirements, including background checks, in order to gain access to hospital accounts.
- Previous experience with inventory management programs and EMRs strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience with the application of soft goods/functional bracing preferred.
- Knowledge of healthcare reimbursement preferred
WORK & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Must be able to travel to various local clinic sites, using own transportation, upon request as dictated by territory.
- Field based (i.e., physician’s offices, hospitals, clinics, etc.).
- Work Hours would generally fall within 8 am - 5 pm or reflect customer clinic hours.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
- Overnight Travel would be rare and NOT required to perform normal duties.
