Medical Billing/Office Assistant
This job requires flexibility and will require a variation of responsibilities ranging from medical billing to organizing client/employee information to other office responsibilities. Genesis will provide training for this position.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately enter data from a client’s billing sheet to a claim form or online billing system.
- Complete assignments on a timely basis.
- Perform office tasks as assigned and willing to shift responsibilities as new requirements appear.
- Manage invoice priorities and workload responsibilities.
- Downloading and organizing employee and client files as necessary.
- Inputting client authorizations
- Working on client intake reports
- Multitasking and communication
- Working with multiple employees who are in the same office and some who are in other offices but require communication via phone/text/email.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree with experience in billing.
- At least one year of previous billing experience.
- Basic math proficiency.
- Excellent data entry skills.
- Knowledge of using UB-04 software and CMS-1500 claim form.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Must have basic ability to use office equipment such as a computer, calculator, printer, photocopier, scanner, fax, etc.
