Service Manager
Job Description:
The Roofing Repair Service Manager is pivotal in ensuring the success and efficiency of the roofing repair service department. This role involves managing daily tasks and routines while also innovating and enhancing departmental systems and procedures. The manager must exhibit a team-player attitude and a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct requested inspections and generate detailed reports offering permanent solutions to various building issues.
Perform comprehensive roof assessments to determine budgetary actions for new and existing clients.
Conduct both commercial and service warranty inspections to determine the best course of action.
Generate purchase orders for approved contracts.
Perform work as required per scheduled work orders (all jobs under one person for five hours).
Ensure service repair technicians review their daily work orders, have the proper materials, and depart promptly.
Conduct periodic quality assurance and safety inspections to ensure service-related work meets PRC standards.
Review completed work orders to identify quality assurance issues, ensure paperwork is complete, and verify billing information.
Department Responsibilities:
Identify new opportunities and recruit potential employees.
Interact with new and existing clients to generate revenue.
Manage accounts receivable collections related to approved service contracts.
Inspect service trucks and vehicles bi-weekly to ensure they are clean, organized, properly stocked, and maintained.
Conduct weekly toolbox meetings to emphasize safety.
Conduct monthly training sessions for all service technicians according to the approved training syllabus.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in roof repair or construction management.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance requirements.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in roofing or construction management.
- Previous experience in a managerial role within the roofing industry.
- Familiarity with local building codes and regulations.
