Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with varies departments, such as sales, solutions engineering, legal and finance teams to understand customer needs and develop strategy for the proposal response.
- Maintain quality results by using varies template applicable to the request, following company and team protocols and maintaining proposal support databases.
- Ownership of solution aspects of the RFP project timeline from beginning to end. Ensuring all other associated representatives are involved and held accountable to deadlines and ownership of tasks.
- Lead Specialist incorporating and involving all Technical support representatives, while ensuring deadlines and timelines are met in a timely manner.
- Utilizing the Loopio proposal software platform for ownership of responsibilities and written responsibilities. One will keep the platform updated and most efficient for everyday use, for all proposal types.
- Help maintain language in SE and Writer databases as needed, within Loopio platform.
- Catalog all proposal documents within Loopio, including updates to RFP documents provided by customers, saving the minutes, Q&A, and other important solution correspondence for posterity.
- Providing elaborate technical written responses, for all solution-based aspects of RFP proposals. In addition, provide solution recommendations upon understanding of services in scope.
- Becoming familiarized with various new products and having the ability to train teammates on such findings.
- Ability to work on multiple proposals simultaneously
- Ability to problem solve, work under pressure and self-motivate, while ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Express willingness to grow and take on writing tasks with minimal supervision.
- Streamline and track statistics of wins (Units and products awarded) and categorize losses based on pricing, solution, or written proposal. Under trends to improve succession for the future.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Products: Word, and Outlook
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills; strong coordination and planning skills
- Excellent interpersonal, computer, and organizational skills
- Ability to problem solve, work under pressure and self-motivate.
- Ability to communicate with multiple team members daily.
- Ability to lead on cross-departmental calls
- Creativity and initiative. Ability to identify problems and/or inefficiencies and independently offer/implement practical solutions.
- Must be technical savvy to navigate and organize electronic submissions and online bids
- Meet all proposal deadlines by establishing priorities and target dates for information gathering, writing, review, and approval; entering and monitoring tracking data; coordinating requirements with contributors; contributing proposal status information to review meetings; transmitting proposals.
- Work effectively with internal subject matter experts to develop consistent, compelling responses to satisfy proposal requirements.
- Review functional, technical and company information received from internal subject matter experts and ensure responses are technically and functionally compliant.
- Coordinate final production, delivery of completed proposal response and post-submission actions.
- Ability to work on multiple proposals simultaneously.
- Maintain quality results by using templates; following proposal-writing standards including readability, consistency, and tone; maintaining proposal support databases.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, finance, communications, or related discipline preferred.
- Familiarity with Salesforce
- Previous experience with Loopio/RFPio/Responsive or other RFP Automation Software.
- Ability to work in both a team environment as well as independently.
- Prior representation of telecommunication clients or employment within the telecommunications industry.
- Prior experience with government contracting requirements, including Federal acquisition vehicles and statewide contracts.
- Professional certifications such as from APMP or independent bodies like Shipley Associates.
