- Bachelor’s degree
- Prior related office and HR experience.
Job Skill and Knowledge Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word preferred.
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management, human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications.
- Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
Specific Job Duties, Activities, and Responsibilities:
- Full cycle recruiting specialist including pre-screens, reference checks, and meeting coordination.
- Completes and tracks employee on boarding and out processing.
- Conducts or assists with new hire orientation, tracking to completion.
- Set up and closing of employee accounts.
- Liaison between managers and temporary staffing agencies. Process weekly timecards for temporary workers.
- Supply management, maintenance requests, access controls, event planning & execution.
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation. Training record maintenance.
- Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.
- Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
- Initiate and complete bi-weekly timecard and payroll processing, answering employee questions, and fixing processing errors.
- Acts as a liaison between the organization and external benefits providers and vendors, which may include health, disability, and retirement plan providers.
- Planning and execution of all events such as benefits enrollment, training, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, scheduled lunch breaks, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations.
- Corporate & HR calendar maintenance.
- Basic analytical support.
- Acts as back up to HR Manager.
- Other duties, as assigned.
Hours of Work: Flex Time – 40+ hours within a 5-day work week.
