Responsibilities:
- Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities
- Create and update menus to meet customer preferences and seasonal availability
- Estimate food requirements and costs, and order supplies accordingly
- Supervise kitchen staff and coordinate their tasks
- Train new kitchen employees in preparation, cooking, and presentation techniques
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
- Manage kitchen operations, including inventory control, equipment maintenance, and cleanliness
- Collaborate with the restaurant management team to develop new dishes and improve existing ones
- Stay updated on industry trends and new cooking techniques
Requirements:
- Proven experiences as a chef in the food industry, in reputable restaurants
- Excellent knowledge of food production techniques and menu planning
- Strong leadership skills to effectively manage kitchen staff and coordinate tasks
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of proper food handling, storage, and sanitation standards
- Supporting on developing seasonal new dishes while maintaining quality standards
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with staff and suppliers
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
