Responsibilities
- Responsible for establishing, documenting, developing, and managing Quality Systems in our ERP and servers with the Quality Manager. Ensures QS compliance with company policies & procedures to meet the needs of the business.
- Supports the Quality Manager with vendor and customer-related quality and non-compliance issues including the Vendor RMA process for buy side of the business and standard outgoing quality processes for the sell side of the business.
- Create Non conformance reports and interface with vendors to determine if appropriate corrective actions have been implemented for defective products.
- Support department audits and initiatives arising from results of NCRs.
- Participate in the Material Review Board (MRB).
- Work with quality management to improve the quality management system and verify compliance to AS9100.
- Support the AS9100 internal auditing process.
- Work with various departments to ensure timely closure of CAPAs, and NCRs.
- Work with the Quality Manager on Quality projects and initiatives.
- Work with production management to provide feedback for repeat quality failures as needed.
- Prepare and present reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing data.
- Execute annual Quality training and retraining as needed for all team members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in the relevant field is preferred or equivalent professional experience.
- Min of 2 years of working in a manufacturing environment is required.
- Working knowledge of methodologies to analyze root causes and provide corrective actions.
- Proficient in AS9100, ISO 9001 or similar Quality Management Systems is preferred.
- Experience conducting internal audits per AS9100 is preferred.
- Experience preparing First Article Inspection Reports in AS9102 format.
- Experience reading and reviewing engineering drawings.
- Proficient with mechanical inspection methods and tools such as Calipers, Height Gages, Micrometers, and CMMs.
- Experience with writing work instructions and developing processes.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Organized with excellent attention to detail.
- Experience using Microsoft Office. Google Workplace experience a plus.
Compensation
The compensation for this position is $24-34/hr.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
