INDUSTRIAL ENGINEER
SUMMARY
We are currently seeking a highly qualified individual to join our team. Position Summary: The Industrial Engineer ensures all production equipment is operating at capacity in a productive manner. Responsibility for achievement of high quality, low cost, safety and on-time performance goals and development of advanced methods and techniques to increase productivity. This is a very fast paced environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Oversees and manages mechanics and contractors in maintaining and repairing facility and equipment.
· Provides direction and support for maintenance team members engaged in installing, servicing, and repairing all plant equipment, including leading, monitoring, and supporting mechanics on activities on process, packaging, facility, and auxiliary equipment.
· Performs related work as required to sustain and improve the Preventative Maintenance program by providing and executing improvement recommendations.
· Verifies and reports completed work to management for conformance to craftmanship of mechanics, blueprints, specifications, and standards.
· Supports in investigating, analyzing, and resolving technical issues on the floor.
· Install and repair electrical and mechanical systems and related equipment.
· Troubleshoot, test, maintain and evaluate equipment performance.
· Specify material needed for project work.
· Prepare accurate records for preventative maintenance and perform preventative work orders as scheduled.
· Adhere to all facility safe practices and perform all work with adherence to safety standards/procedures.
· Observe mechanical devices in operation and listen to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.
· Knowledge of use of all types of powered shop tools such as band saws, drill press, grinder, saws, vices, clamps, etc. as well as hand tools, wrenches, screwdrivers, stationary and portable pneumatic and electric tools, and welding equipment to make repairs.
· Maintain all data as required for all equipment.
· Oversee critical parts inventory and supplies.
· Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operations.
· Instructs personnel on how to fabricate repair parts by using shop instrumentation and equipment.
· Follows diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, and engineering instructions.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
· Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
· Working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical circuits
· Basic PLC, ladder logic, and motor drive trouble shooting skills.
· Strong interpersonal, written & verbal communication.
· Attention to detail, emphasizing precision, time management, planning, analytical, & organizational skills
· Ability to execute department priorities, workload, assignments, & meet multiple deadlines.
· Takes initiative & proactively seeks opportunities for improvement in process & workstreams.
· Ability to drive results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment & maintain accountability of results.

· Must demonstrate knowledge of sound business practices.

· Experience with large Hydraulic press and heat-treating furnaces.
· Ability to provide company for tooling, fixtures, furnaces
Experience & Education
· 10 Years experience in facilities, engineering, maintenance, and management
· Industrial Engineering Degree
· Knowledge of EPA and Safety
· Welding Certificate Tig, Mig Low and high voltage (120-480)
· Electrical 3 years' experience
· Knowledge and experience in the forging, heat treating and metalworking industry
· Hydraulics and pneumatics install and troubleshooting.
· Basic knowledge of general building maintenance experience
· Knowledge of plant set up to increase production
Physical Demands
While performing normal duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands frequently. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and extreme heat. The employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions and vibration. The noise level in this work environment requires hearing protection. The job may require additional hours beyond a 40-hour workweek.
