Auto Body - Damage Appraiser
This is a unique opportunity for a collision repair professional to join our team. Ideal candidate will have 3+ years of auto damage appraising and/or collision repair experience. Auto Body Appraiser Responsibilities and Duties:
- Manage the flow of vehicles thru the repair process
- Create daily delivery list and manage the completion of those jobs
- Identify bottlenecks and determine daily staff movements to relieve them
- Work with technicians to identify problems and provide prompt solutions
- Ensure access to, and compliance with OEM Repair Procedures
- Verify Pre & Post Scan data is clean
- Ensure ADAS calibrations are performed
- Coordinate sublet vendor schedules for glass, mechanical, ADAS calibrations, etc.
- Update customers with repair status by phone and our texting app
- Document our management system with detailed notes
- Aid in locating hard to find parts
- Review Supplement paperwork from insurers for accuracy
- Perform quality review of in-process and front line cars to ensure standards are met
- Communicate with our office team to ensure on-time quality completion.
Auto Body Appraiser Qualifications and Skills
- Good working knowledge of how to perform proper collision repairs
- Desire to be excellent, good attention to detail
- Capable of tracking many cars simultaneously
- Create a sense of urgency to ensure all cars move quickly thru the repair process
- Ability to communicate effectively with technicians, office staff and customers
- Possess a Massachusetts Auto Damage Appraisers License
- 3 Years Experience as Auto Body Appraiser
- Or 3 Years Experience as an Auto Body Technician
- Experience with electronic estimating with both CCC and Mitchell
- Computer skills, research OEM procedures, research DTC’s
- Education, I-CAR, Read the trade rags, embrace your career
