Alternative Options Counseling Center is an outpatient treatment program that provides multiple levels of care including Intensive Outpatient, Partial Hospitalization, and Outpatient counseling. We are a family owned, nationally CARF accredited program that has been serving the community for over 25 years. We specialize in providing quality, compassionate care for adults and adolescents struggling with mental health, eating disorders, and co-occurring substance abuse disorders.
Alternative Options Counseling Center is seeking a Registered Marriage & Family Therapist Associate, Associate Social Worker, or Associate PCC for our Eating Disorder Intensive Outpatient and Partial Hospitalization Programs. This is a full-time position, with a focus of working with our Adolescent and Adult Eating Disorder population. The position will include clinical work with clients, individual/family/group formats, conducting supported meals/snacks with clients, participation in treatment team meetings, as well as some case management duties. You will also have the opportunity to work clinically with our mental health population to give you a well rounded clinical experience.
In order to be considered for this position, candidates will need to meet the following requirements:
- Possession of a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work from an accredited institute
- Current registration as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, Associate Social Worker, or Associate PCC with the Board of Behavioral Sciences.
- Some evening availability Monday through Friday no later than 730 pm.
- Experience working with eating disorder population, or willingness to learn and be trained.
- Experience and/or interest in working with dual diagnosis and/or Adolescents.
- Experience in group therapy modality.
- Ability to pass DOJ background check
Specific Job Duties include:
- Providing individual, family and group therapy to adults and adolescents admitted into Intensive Outpatient and Partial Hospitalization Programming for Eating Disorders, as well as clients in Mental Health IOP/PHP programs.
- Running supported meals and snacks for Eating Disorder program clients
- Potential of traditional outpatient therapy to individuals, families, and couples seeking outpatient services.
- Participation in treatment team, staff, and supervision meetings. Supervision is provided for all associates.
- Providing feedback and consultation to treatment team members regarding patient presentation and progress.
- Intake and Assessment of clients for Eating Disorder program
- Case management duties: assessment, treatment planning, discharge planning, insurance utilization review
